Rebecca completed an MFA in Dance at Florida State University in 2016 and BA in Dance Performance and Choreography and English from the University of South Carolina. Her choreography has been performed at USF for New Grounds Dance Festival, by the University of South Carolina School of Dance, and at American College Dance Association in 2015. She has taught in dance schools and presented choreography in New Mexico, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ms. Krumel received a classical ballet foundation under Karen Alwin, Joetta Jercinovich, Luis Fuente, and Deanna Encinias, and completed the Cecchetti Method of Ballet syllabus examinations by age 16. She performed with the pre-professional Performers Ballet & Jazz Company in Albuquerque for eight years before moving to continue her training with the Boston Ballet. She competed in Youth America Grand Prix semi-finals in NYC in 2005, and spent summers on scholarship at prestigious ballet schools throughout the U.S. She has danced professionally with the Boston Ballet, Columbia City Ballet in South Carolina, the USC Dance Company, and currently choreographs and performs as a Tallahassee-based contemporary dance artist.
Ms. Krumel is also certified in Balanced Body Pilates, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Methods, and runs her own Gyrotonic practice in Tallahassee. Her greatest passion is to emanate True Beauty and share joy through the art of dance.
